I am am the Executive Director of the Headwaters Project an interdisciplinary teaching initiative at the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) dedicated to the promotion of the flourishing person as the central animating principle of the applied sciences particularly health sciences and engineering. As part of that project, I have developed and teach various “human flourishing” courses at Pitt. You can learn more about these courses at the Headwaters Project webpage.
In addition to human flourishing courses, I teach various health policy and research methods courses at Pitt Nursing.
To add, I am a faculty fellow at the Beatrice Institute which is an ecumenical learning and research community based in Pittsburgh that supports advanced inquiry in the Christian intellectual and cultural traditions.
